Juried by DIALOGUE CHICAGO founding director Sarah Krepp, the 2016 Rockford Midwestern is the 74th presentation of the museum’s survey exhibition of new work by contemporary artists from across the Midwest. Krepp selected 85 photographs, paintings, prints, drawings, sculptures, and more by 78 artists from across the Midwest. Best of Show and two Juror’s Choice awards will be presented during a preview reception for museum members and exhibiting artists – as well as the 2016 Dean Alan Olson Purchase Award, to the artist whose work has been selected for inclusion in the Rockford Art Museum Permanent Collection.

Founded in 1913, Rockford Art Museum is a non-profit organization that exists to enrich the quality of life in the Rockford region through art collection, exhibition and education.
