The fair also featured an Emerging Artist Booth, sponsored by Better Business Bureau, with four artists invited to exhibit by Kortman Gallery, and its own Emerging Artist award ($200), also sponsored by Kortman Gallery. Alex Krueger was named this year’s winner.
ABOUT THIS YEAR’S FAIR
Greenwich Village Art Fair was held Saturday, Sept. 19 and Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015. Tickets at the gate were $5 for adults and free for children 12 and younger; they included free admission to Rockford Art Museum during the fair. Alpine Bank was the presenting sponsor for the 22nd consecutive year; premier sponsors were the Blazer Foundation, Dean Alan Olson Foundation and The Rock River Times.
Held rain or shine on the grounds of Rockford Art Museum at Riverfront Museum Park on the second weekend after Labor Day every year, Greenwich Village Art Fair is the longest-running art fair of its kind in the Midwest. This year’s two-day event featured 135 artists, live music, a gourmet marketplace, children’s art activities and more. Ticket proceeds support RAM throughout the year.
