Rockford Art Museum (RAM) has made the thoughtful decision to temporarily close its doors to the public beginning November 13th. The focal point of this temporary shutdown is a much-needed HVAC renovation, a vital upgrade that will ensure the preservation of our treasured art collection. By investing in modern climate control systems, the museum is taking a significant step to protect and maintain the artworks for years to come. RAM looks forward to the grand reopening in 2024, where we can enjoy the beauty of art in a rejuvenated setting. During our closure, it’s our goal to continue programming in new settings so that we’re able to stay connected with the community.
