Perspective is not just something that happens near train tracks and telephone poles; it is a fundamental aspect of human vision. This workshop is designed to help visual artists use basic perspective techniques for anything from urban sketching to figure drawing.
We will discuss a few simple rules to help your drawings look three-dimensional, and you will make some take-home tools to incorporate perspective into your observational drawing. The workshop will also include handouts with additional perspective resources and an instructor Q&A where you can ask your toughest perspective questions.
Steven x Davis is a self-taught artist and former math teacher. He has enjoyed learning perspective drawing and wants to help other artists learn (or re-learn) how to make their works more realistic and three-dimensional by incorporating perspective techniques.
