Art X is happening on July 17th! In order to ensure a safe and fun evening for everyone we made the decision to change the event's format (originally planned for March 13th, inside the Rockford Art Museum galleries) to virtual. The week leading up to Art X we'll be offering the one-of-a-kind experiences and original artwork donated by local artists up for auction at biddingforgood.com/rockfordart. These will remain open for bidding until 9 PM on JULY 17TH. 


For the evening of Art X, the schedule will be as follows:

6–7 PM: CURBSIDE PICKUP! Drive through the RAM parking lot to pick up a gourmet barbecue dinner provided by Abreo
7–8 PM: Enjoy your dinner at home
8–9 PM: We'll LIVE-STREAM FROM THE MUSEUM for the final hour of auction, with DJs, SPECIAL GUESTS + OTHER SURPRISES throughout the night for added entertainment during this hour.


One-of-a-kind experiences to be auctioned include:
Shadow Chef Patrick Alberto of Octane for one; starting bid $200
Be a sous chef for owner and executive chef Patrick Alberto for a meal service at Octane Rockford! You’ll have the opportunity to create a signature dish with Patrick that will be named after you and be on special for a week. After-hours you’ll get together with another local chef or two for food and drinks and to talk about Rockford’s thriving culinary scene. Cool Octane swag also provided!

Pizza + beer in the hangar for eight; starting bid $300
Join Nancy and Jeff Kaney for a night in the hangar as they show you their amazing plane collection with the chance to sit in the pilot’s seat and learn about these gorgeous aircrafts. Pizza and beer provided for your group!

“Ale Academy” with Reed Sjostrom of Prairie Street Brewing Co. for six; starting bid $300
Your group will learn all about beer from one of our amazing local brewers! “Ale Academy” will teach you about the 4 main ingredients of beer, what makes a particular beer a “style” and the different process it takes to produce those “styles.” This experience concludes with delicious beer and food pairings! You’ll also get to take home some fun swag and a 32 oz growler of your choice.

Bead workshop with Betsy Youngquist for four; starting bid $400
Spend time with world-renown bead artist Betsy Youngquist creating a beaded pendant of your own! The workshop will happen in the museum galleries and will include all materials as well as champagne/wine and small bites.

Twilight tour of Anderson Japanese Gardens for four; starting bid $400
Your group will get a tour of the gardens led by Curator/Head of Horticulture Tim Gruner. Tim will also show you their collection of antique scrolls and baskets. Following the tour you’ll have dinner in the 16th-century style tea house (provided by Shogun Japanese restaurant) and finish the night with a traditional tea ceremony.
