Photography exhibits on view at RAM during Fall ArtScene

Two photography exhibits are on view at Rockford Art Museum (RAM) during Rockford Area Arts Council’s Fall ArtScene. RAM extends its regular hours until 9 p.m. and offers free admission Friday, Oct. 5 and Saturday, Oct. 6 for the 31st annual event.

Terttu Uibopuu: E.S.E. (East South East) examines people and places in Estonia, New York and Rockford that embody a quiet resilience in the face of daily adversity. Terttu (“Ter-two”) will be in Rockford to lead a street photography workshop on Oct. 27 from 1 to 4 p.m. ($30, bring your own camera, register at rockfordartmuseum.org or call 815-972-2874).  

Juan Fernandez uses structures and architectural forms to challenge our notions of social, political and environmental issues. Fernandez is represented in the Rockford Art Museum Collection and is one of the featured artists in the upcoming Dwellings exhibition at RAM, which opens Friday, Oct. 12 at RAM.
